Chocolate Pot de Crème

Fun and easy Halloween Dessert


  • Whole eggs 125g

  • Granulated sugar 30g

  • Salt 0.75g

  • Vanilla extract 3.5g

  • Milk 313g

  • Chocolate couverture 95g

  • Oreo crumbles Decoration

  • Gummy worms Decoration

  • Milano cookies Decoration

  • Melting chocolate Decoration


  1. Preheat oven to 325F.

  2. Scald milk, DO NOT boil.

  3. Mix eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract together, DO NOT whip.

  4. Combine chocolate and hot milk, and mix until smooth.

  5. Combine the chocolate mixture with the egg mixture but do not whip to create bubbles. You can use an immersion blender to make sure it is well incorporated.

  6. Strain the mixture. If you have bubbles on the surface, use a skimmer to remove the bubbles.

  7. Bake in a water bath at 325F for 45 minutes. Tap the ramekins gently and the liquid should move as one unit.

  8. Let cool then place in the refrigerator to set.

  9. When ready to serve, you can simply top it with whipped cream or decorate it with crumbled Oreo cookies, gummy worms, and a Milano cookie tombstone for a cute Halloween-themed dessert.

  10. Time to TASTE!!!
